Arlington Park
Arlington Park race track is a located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
In 1981 the track hosted the Arlington Million, the world’s first million-dollar race, in 1981. John Henry, directed by the legendary jockey Bill Shoemaker, won the race and he beat the long shot The Bart.
Throughout the months of May to September Arlington Park usually hosts almost 100 thoroughbred racing events. The 2002 edition of the Breeders Cup World Thoroughbred Championships was also held at Arlington Park.
