Indiana Downs is a 152-acre horse and harness racing track in Shelbyville, Indiana, with a one-mile main track and a seven-furlong turf track. Shelbyville is located 15 miles from Indianapolis.
Indiana Downs features thoroughbred, quarterhorse and standardbred racing. Thoroughbreds usually race from April to May/June while harness racing runs from June/July to October.

Indiana Downs features a 1-mile main course and a 7-furlong turf course. The track hosts two meets, a Thoroughbred meet from April to June and a Harness meet from July to November.
Some of the state’s major stakes events are held here, including the Indiana First Lady Stakes, the Governor’s Stakes, the Checkered Flag Stakes, the Shelby County Stakes, the William Henry Harrison Stakes and the Oliver Stakes.
